The Ghost Gunner is an amazing machine. It mills 80% lower receivers into 100% status, allowing you to build your own AR15 at home, in accordance with your right to keep and bear arms. (Note: Follow all local laws. The Ghost Gunner is currently illegal in New Jersey.)
Users of the Ghost Gunner device mistakenly think they can only mill out raw aluminum receivers, not anodized receivers. But we’ve posted a new video — censored everywhere else — that reveals exactly where to Dremel an anodized 80% lower to prepare it for use in the Ghost Gunner. You’ll need to Dremel away the anodizing at six points where the router bit makes contact with the receiver to determine the X-Y-Z coordinates of the receiver itself.
Just six points on the receiver need to have the anodizing removed. These six points are shown in the video (and photos) below. In addition, the grip bolt threads must also be cleaned out using a threaded steel tap. The correct one to use is the Irwin Tools high carbon steel, 1/4×28 die tap such as this one on Amazon.
This die tap will remove any anodizing from the threads of the lower receiver grip bolt threads, allowing the conducting grounding wire from the Ghost Gunner to make excellent contact with the receiver itself.
From here, you simply use a Dremel tool to grind away the very thin layer of anodizing, targeting six points on the receiver. This method works for AR-10 lowers as well, of course.

Here are two screen grabs from the video, showing the six points that need to be Dremeled out. Always comply with local gun laws. If this is not legal for you to do where you live, you should probably move to Texas. Or Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, etc.
